 On Court Legends Council member Bob Rathbun takes home two awards
Emmy award-winning announcer and On Court Player Development® Legends Council member Bob Rathbun picked up some more hardware recently during the NATAS Southeast Regional Emmy Awards. On that night, Fox Sports South/SportSouth walked away with 10 Emmy awards.
Rathbun was nominated for two Emmys in the same category, in two different sports, including the network’s college football broadcast of the Central Michigan vs. Georgia game, and its NBA telecast of Game Six of the Boston vs. Atlanta playoffs last year. Each won for Outstanding Achievement: Television News and Program Specialty Excellence; Sporting Event/Game-Live/Unedited.
On the football award, Rathbun shared the honors with executive producer Hammond Reynolds, coordinating Producer Rohan Backfisch, analyst Dave Rowe, producer Joe Vencius and director Ric LaCivita. On the basketball side, he accepted the award with his broadcast partner Steve Smith, producer Jay Hoover and director Gary Lehman. |
